@JeremyCherfas No testing beyond the annual checkup as long as it's a relatively normal automobile that has road approval from some other (within reason) country. As least as far as I know.

@matigo Yes, @peemee is absolutely correct. There was an election and then the government decided it would be wise to do as the rest of Europe.
I drove my Suzuki Wagon R+ for about three years, and that was a right hand drive model. No import, just a special order for newspaper delivery, I believe. No real hassle, and I actually found several benefits around town. :D

@matigo Good question. I do know I need to do extensive research into what I need to do with the Swedish authorities before I even think about an import affair. Bureaucrats…

@matigo Tempting! Dunno about Yamato and shipping a car though. Then again, they're the shipping world equivalent of the RCMP. ;D

@skematica I'm contemplating an import of a Daihatsu Hijet from Japan to replace my Suzuki Alto, but it's not necessarily something I'll do. My tiny Alto gets way too good fuel economy, barely costs anything in tax or insurance, so it's hard to motivate a change.

@skematica Thank you! I'm sticking to my puny cars for the foreseeable future. :)

@matigo My kind of bias, even though it's nearly exclusively from English-speaking countries. Would like to see more international variety.

@matigo I'm seeing lots of Audi, followed closely by BMW. From there on, it's a vile mixture of Mercedes, vans, mini/city cars from Nissan, Mini, and VW, together with the obligatory oversized American Ford.

@peemee Ok, reading on youparklikeacunt.com is borderline depressing. Confirmed so many of my suspicions and theories as to which are the worst parking offenders.
