@matigo I am seriously going to start using that term to describe sub-par programmers from now on. 🤣
@matigo And I totally understand why. It’s a shortsighted money-heavy investment with highly questionable ROI, in more ways than just financial.
It gets really embarrassing when you take a look at then arenas a few years after the games have been over. Such amazing waste of material and labor is hard to find elsewhere. I mean, most places appear to just abandon the locations completely after the Olympics are a thing of the past. Like, what the actual heck?
@jussipekonen All good with you, good buddy? Haven’t been able to catch up for a while.
A colder day, but the weather sure looks smashing outside. Perhaps a Christmas walk is in order later, to try to burn off some of the Christmas food from last night. 😆
@matigo I remember when the Olympics was supposed to be about a global (for the most part) competition between the best of the best athletes, and to challenge ourselves as a species. Those days does fast and the Olympics have become a political sledgehammer for countries to toss around and attempt to brag about how good they are. Surprisingly little appears to be about the actual games, or the athletics, and quite a lot more about the posturing going on around the whole spectacle.
To say that I am disappointed is an understatement.
Darn this is a lot of food to prepare! Good thing I have my motivational beer with me!
@matigo Oh to have that interesting variety of flavors! I’ll have to try some next time I’m in Japan. Which might be December 2022 as things are currently going in the world.
