I’ve actually had really good experiences with WD the last 8 or so years. Have several external drives that just keep chugging along.

If you had asked me back in 2001, I’d probably spew all possible hell over WD. Back then they managed to make hard drives that weren’t compatible with Linux… a somewhat impressive feat of engineering.

I’m sticking with Sandisk until they seriously misbehave. Has worked flawlessly for years.
