The whole lawsuit settlement by Axanar-CBS/Paramount strikes me as a complete farce. I'm not a legal expert, of course, just a Star Trek enthusiast venting anger.
Fascinating. Absolutely no copy-protection nor is there any region protection on the CD-addon for the PC Engine and it's western sibling, the Turbografx16. That'll make life easier for me!
@phoneboy Right with you there! Leo keeps quiet more often than not, and Steve does most of the talking and explaining. Might not be the best Infosec podcast out there, but I dig Steve's style.
What really tipped me over the edge years ago was partly Leo being Leo, and then everybody started talking over each other in every show. Can't take that at the insane level Twit does it. Urgh…

@matigo Yeah, that just sounds like a bad idea. An operating system shouldn't do some things, and that sounds like it passes the point of sanity. Sure, scripts to clean things up and perform mundane tasks are fine, but as you mentioned, one failed script and the whole system might go wonky.
@jussipekonen Amen, brother! The only one from Twit I still subscribe to is Security Now! and that's because I like to listen to Steve Gibson. Leo Laporte isn't my favorite anymore, putting it mildly.
// @matigo
@matigo It's a bit heavy at times and some people serve more as an example of how you shouldn't use a computer, but still.
Personally I miss the sadly short lived MacBreak Tech. Awesomely nerdy conversations about all manner of tech, usually with a Mac angle, as the name suggests. Way more enjoyable than the regular MacBreak Weekly, which in my mind is a steaming pile of annoyance.
Remind me to vent my thoughts on popular/big podcasts some time. ;)
