@matigo And it saddens me. Riposte is such a lovely piece of kit, that I hate to see it die with ADN. :(
Same as several other great apps.

@matigo Live the OS X 10.5 dram and live in Notational Velocity, most likely. Such a lovely keyboard to write on.

@alexk Neato! As a social network I'd say it works fine. The main strength of ADN has been the native clients for lots of systems, and that might be the one weakness of the new networks currently. If we could coax a support for 10C and PNut into Riposte, I'd be one happy camper.
@peemee mSATA drive together with an IDE adapter has apparently been all the rage in the PPC forums the last couple of years. Might roll down that path myself once I get a Poweebook or iBook again.

@alexk To me 10C is a no bollocks blogging service with a darn fine, if yet simple, social network integrated. My plan is to move my blog here and do the social away form the other networks, speciallly now that ADN sadly is shutting down.
I have hedged my bets among the alternatives that have sprung up in the wake of ADN, each with their own strengths and potential weaknesses. Twitter is just a bag of hurt, and I'm not touching Facebook with a 10m pole. :)
@peemee I've been looking into SSD options for the good old PPC machines, and it seems like they will have a brand new life with one installed. Not horribly expensive either. Anything laptop really should be solid state for the storage.

Guess I should get with the times and see what all this Slack stuff is about. Maybe not right now, of course.
@peemee That PowerBook G4 12" is to die for! Such a nimble little powerhouse of computing for its time, and still one of the best keyboards on any laptop I've had contact with.
If my dad ever upgrades to a newer laptop, I'm totally banning his iBook G4 for myself. Love the keyboards!

@jws That's true. Wonder if it would be better or worse with the requirement of WebKit removed from iOS. Could swing either way, I suppose.
