@peemee Been meaning to ask you; is the Apple SuperDrive a similar affair to the built-in variants? It's obeying the regional change I'm thinking mainly about.
Have a pain in the proverbial ass with my old MacBook drive as it now has two changes left before being locked to a region. Most problematic when ripping DVDs, oddly enough. Some just won't be read if the "wrong" region is set. ?

@kdfrawg I must sound like a broken record at this point, but I'm completely convinced William Gibson's books have laid the blueprint for current society. We're nearly at Neuromancer perfectly.
Only thing he, and others in the 80s, missed was the mobile revolution.
