Amen to that! Exactly what I have seen over the years when it comes to any system in corporate.

I try to enforce that rule as much as it is possible. But I also tend to buy many used equipment, which has a sneaky tendency of saying “made in Japan”. 😁

She is one of around 1200 in the country, so getting a bit rare. Fun car, although nothing too special at all. Just a Toyota from a bygone era.

I do have some plans for improving on her this year, so hopefully my daily commuter car will also be my enjoyment driving car before long. 😎

That does explain an awful lot of software, specially corporate and open source. 😬

Very correct. Not to mention I’d probably blow holes everywhere with my lack of MIG/TIG knowledge.

Or make my own, if I had even the most basic of skills in welding. 😕

Sadly, I haven’t welded anything in about 20 years. Yet another skill I need o freshen up on.

I have a somewhat unusual car, so it’s going to be custom made, but the price I was quoted was in the area around 10.000SEK. Not too shabbby, although it doesn’t include the catalytic converter or the exhaust manifold.

There certainly are times when I would want that, yes.

If things go my way, at some point during this year I’m getting a stainless steel exhaust system and hope to never replace it for as long as I or the car lives.

I actually had something similar happen to me the other year. Just as I was turning off the highway, heading into work, a terrible noise started and freaked me out nicely. Turned out it was the exhaust pipe that had corroded and decided to break, right behind the catalytic converter. I was not a happy man. Couldn’t drive faster than 90km/h or my head felt like it would explode.

At this point I’m not even sure where it is located, which is a shame. The mouse k regularly use is a very small one from HP that I got with my previous work laptop. Not going to let go of it any time soon either, since that little thing has been rock-solid and works excellently for my small hands. Similar to the dirt-cheap Microsoft mouse I have here at home. Cheapest of the cheap, and I’m just in love with the darn thing.
