I run my old 3GS as a music machine in the car, via a FM transmitter. Has worked surprisingly well for a few years like that, although the battery life clearly isn’t getting any better.

Isn’t that the reason twitter exists? At least it sure seems like it nowadays.

Good to hear I’m not alone, but also a bit sad at the same time. The web really has gone down the toilet the last 8 years. I mean, yes, we pretty much finally got rid of that awful Adobe Flash, but besides that things have gotten progressively worse.

Something tells me it'll suffer a bit worse with mobile data available again, compared to life as a pseudo iPod Touch.

Perhaps so, but believe you me, the new garbage system at work has had a very large team, years in the making, millions of whatever currently plowed into it, and it still runs like maple syrup in January, doesn't work more than halft the time, and the most inexcusable offense of all; it's standardized on working in Internet Explorer.

Unfortunately, that's been rather toasty of an arctic lately. Temperatures comparable to Osaka at this time of the year. Well, normally in Osaka, not this insanely warm year.

It's been a small blessing to get to stay at work so much, where it's a steady temperature of around 20°C all-year round.
