I wish I could visit 10Cv4 on my Pre 3. Then I'd really be the minority in the minority. :D
@matigo A truly decentralized network like that is the true fear of many a government. Unstoppable communication between people, encrypted and secure.
@matigo Given the scope and how I have come to know you and how you think about design, I trust that choice. De-centralized social networking is a dream, but we need to have something steady to stand on before we can start working on that. :)
Now I've been designing something for the last 20 minutes. On paper. Feels good!
@matigo I have come to the same conclusion. Too many good services that I liked have unceremoniously shut down due to bean counters not seeing enough profit, incompetency in the management, or just plain cluelessness from those who developed it. Together with unnecessary centralization and interdependence of the server-clients, it's a soup made of pure, liquid disaster.
@matigo It really is, and I share your sentiments over the whole thing. The only thing they have been consistent in making is annoying/pissing off a small portion of all those who use the service, perhaps most memorably with the "Dickbar" that had to go away and the first wave of changing the permissions for third party apps. The latter which was a catalyst for ADN, if I recall.
@matigo I think it's a severe lack of Giving A Shitâ„¢ combined with Idunnoitis. Probably management by incompetent VC committee too.
@matigo @JeremyCherfas Pixar is definitely the cream of the crop when it comes to contemporary animation, although all of it computer generated.
Duck Tales holds up reasonably well, but it has aged of course. Still good animation, good voice acting, and the plot lines aren't too bad. Sure, it's not Shakespeare, but it's ok, appropriate for kids.
Other good shows include Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, and Darkwing Duck. The latter two might be a bit better for slightly older kids. Pretty harmless content all the same, being Disney an all. :)
