@bazbt3 That's a very good point!

@japchap I like to think my grandfather was pretty fortunate too, in his last years. Like so many other people he got cancer, and it didn't really affect him much until the last couple of months when he lost weight like crazy. Still clear as a day in his mind until the last week before he passed away. I'm just very glad he never had any long-term hospital stay or pain from the cancer.

@japchap That's the painful stuff that led me to slowly migrate from freelance work to a "regular job". Always the slimy people who wanted more work done for 0 extra pay, and the quality of the source text was appalling to say the least.
I should get in touch with the one steady client I had for years. Always good stuff, always reasonable rates and good quality stuff. Never minded doing that translation work.
@hazardwarning As the late Steve Jobs would probably have put it; that sounds like a bag of hurt! :/
@jextxadore You know how it is. Bad science is far too easy, and few people actually check the facts.
@nitinkhanna Thank you muchly! :)
The whole thing is just weird. I applied for a completely different job some month ago, and now they apparently found my CV and decided to give me a call about another job opening. I never even applied for this one, so it's a complete role reversal for a change.
The Panama Papers have showed the world that all those people in power are really just huge assholes. As we have all suspected for a long, long time.
