Healthy approach. Are automated calls and telemarketing junk calls common in Japan too? They keep pissing me off here.

As we have a tendency of saying; the one company that truly know how to make a laptop that doesn't break after one year, appears to be Apple.

Pretty much what I do nowadays. I just block one contact; "idiot calling, don't answer", and I keep adding more and more known telemarketing phone numbers to it. That way the repeat offenders don't even get to disturb me with their calls.

What failed this time around?

Open heart surgery?

@kdfrawg Happy to oblige! ?

My list of blocked phone numbers keeps growing. Bloody telemarketing nonsense…

@kdfrawg At this point I have no idea what to think. Have heard some rumors about maybe, possibly an Amazon data center being built some 300km east of where I live. That's about as much as I've heard about their future plans.

@kdfrawg Correct. They shut down the Swedish arm of it, dunno why.

/

@kdfrawg Indeed. It's been puzzling me for years. Then again, it's pretty much only Apple that releases all their stuff around here.

Google has most (but not all) services here, although you won't find their hardware so easily. Microsoft has some online store that might work here, and a minuscule presence in retail when it comes to hardware. Samsung is everywhere. Amazon is unheard of to all except tech knowledgeable people.
