Ah yes, that was a big change, as I remember it. Still think they pretty much perfected it with Office 97. Everything since has been spit-polish.

Ah, I see.

Two episodes in, and it strikes me as somewhat of a mix between some elements of both TOS and TNG with attempts at linking the timeline from ENT up until TOS, dipped in a (to me) unpleasant J.J. Abrams coat.

I have enjoyed the actors work and the characters are reasonably interesting, given the short amount of time so far. Not quite buying into the backstory of Michael, given the rest of Star Trek lore, but I’m a bit nitpicky about stuff like that.

Klingon revamp isn’t as jarring as I thought it would be, but it sure is a big change. Core elements are certainly there, but they are different in many ways.

I’ll have to give it some more time. These two first episodes are just an introduction, a setting of the scene, if you will. Perhaps it will come into its own right once we are aboard the actual U.S.S. Discovery.

Can’t speak for the main Office suite, but some apps coming out of Microsoft these days actually make me want to use them. This is far better than their track record the last 15 years, in my mind.

So far this app has worked well without any account at all. I guess that having one will make it even more useful though.

I know I’m usually hard on Microsoft, but the app OfficeLens is absolutely brilliant!
