Official Reddit app is off my phone and replaced with Apollo, which doesn’t suck.

@matigo I find comfort is the fact that I’ll never be fully taught in something.

@tomas Well that’s an insta-fail. Facebook is never right, and the more alt-right bullshit that comes with suggesting otherwise just proves the incompetence of the person.
Finally catching up on the whole Cambridge Analytica/Facebook thing. Been knocked out in stomach flu so I’m behind on the news.
Can’t say I’m in the least bit surprised about what happened. Perhaps what is the most frightening is that people continue to willfully put shedloads of personal information into systems that are under control of a corporate entity without oversight.
@hybotics Desperately trying to remember which the first Linux kernel I ran was, but I can’t for the world of me figure it out. Was a Red Hat distro that came with a computer magazine, that much I’m sure of.
Bought SuSE Linux 9 at some point too. Nice books.

Very much contemplating a dedicated Raspberry Pi for FreeBSD explorations.

@matigo I’ve been wading around in Linux for the last 20 or so years, and I figure it’s about time I expand my horizons. Need to see first hand what all the fuss is about in the world of BSD.
