I could say something about being at work for yet another night shift, and how things suck like a ghost vacuum, but I’ll just leave it.

COBOL FTW!!

Incidentally, I like my software to get out of my way as much as possible too.

“…a person who is proud to ‘not get computers’ in 2018” sounds like the spud in charge of cyber security in Japan.

Which always did irk me when I was in training to become a teacher. So much waste of time and manpower that could and should be better spend on the kids and doing the actual teaching. Teachers are more like administrators that do some teaching on the side.

Truly!

As long as the electronics is left intact, I think it should be relatively easy. Might be some adhesive holding the cells down, but I’ll have to do more research on the details when I’m home again.

I secured the exhaust pipe on my car when it feel down this past Monday, using nothing but a USB cable I happened to have in my car. I have already used all my MacGyver points for a little while. ?

Education is, for some reason, not interesting to develop for, apparently. All the systems I have bumped into have been ugly hacks made by hacks, ancient and anything but efficient, or systems not meant for education but tweaked or missed to barely, sort of, kind of work in education.

Actually I’m seeing the same at my current workplace. ?

After some research, it looks like there are standard 18650 cells inside the battery case, so I should be able to rebuild it with relative ease, possibly even making a “super” battery with more modern cells.

Now I just need the empty battery case from somewhere. ?
