@matigo I like to let people make their own mistakes in technology, more now than ever. I refuse to be a personal IT department, even if it’s a spouse or close family. Should they make a foolish choice and buy something they have not actually researched properly, or at all, then I consider it “not my problem”.
It’s a harsh reality, but it’s not realistic to be handed a total responsibility for what other people do willy-nilly. Yes, as people inside the world of tech, we have a particular way of looking at things, yet people often choose to not heed our warnings.
But I already know what is going to happen in nearly all cases like this; we get the blame. 🙄
