@peemee I always wanted to have a Thunderbolt dock, but never found one at a reasonable price that matched the functions. Now I'm looking into DisplayLink for the USB 3.0 port, as well as a hacked together eGPU via the Thunderbolt connection. Should work swimmingly, if I can just get my hands on the parts needed. I sure wouldn't mind having some more graphical prowess given the things I intend to get up to in the near future. Apparently one can obtain a NVidia Quadro GPU for relatively cheap, and that will still kick the ass of the Intel HD 6000 that my MacBook Air has under the proverbial hood.
