Also; yes, the meatball is a relatively new thing in Swedish cuisine, not becoming “normal” until the 1970s by entering cookbooks for common people. At least if my memory isn’t more corrupted than usual.
Why they’re called Swedish meatballs I do not know. Just clever marketing, I guess.
