@matigo One of the many things I absolutely despise about contemporary software development, or heck, IT in general. All these religion-like standardisations and ways to do something, all with their mandatory certifications, training and almighty priests.
It's amazing how over the last 30 years software development has consistently gotten dumber and actually less productive. Like you mentioned, endless meetings with too many people who have absolutely no idea about what is actually being done, yet are for some inexplicable reason involved in the decision-making process. Worse yet is that these non-technical people are the ones who call the shots instead of letting developers do their job, and actually get good software in the hands of people.
I have my examples at work, and I know that it's just a small fraction of all the moronity that flies around in our industry. Many a day I very seriously contemplate finding a nice large patch of land away from civilisation and just building an off-the-grid sanctuary. Unfortunately (?) I have a wife and kids which keeps me away from such wonderfully dangerous plans.
