So maybe I can start setting up that new server tonight.

@kdfrawg I don't check often enough, really.

Hah! Nope, it did its stuff and kept ticking, as it should. Granted, its single purpose is to filter out ads on the home network, but still. ?

Isn't that how they came up with the character Jack Sparrow?

Ran sudo apt-get upgrade on my original Raspberry Pi. Should be done any minute now. I hope.

@kdfrawg Either that or the shortest down-time between parties I've ever experienced.

When I was in Japan last, it did do a lot more than then previous time, but here in Sweden it's still tragically after everywhere else. Which is still better than what all the others offer, sadly.

Don't use Siri much myself, as it's just not there yet. Maybe in iOS 11 and High Sierra it'll be a proper tool for me. I'm just spoiled by the old Knowledge Navigator concept video from the late 1980s. ?

But the text to speech is at least passable even now, so I mostly use that for articles when I'm cooking or otherwise have my hands occupied.

Well that is certainly true, but the synthetic voice wasn't quite up to snuff. Trying out Samantha now instead, the improved version.

And why in the world was the South African English voice selected as my default one?

There is only rule number one!
