@kdfrawg I'd plug it into my SEGA Dreamcast, just because it's possible, but I don't think it'd be too great an experience.

I had a spectacularly crap VGA cable that came free with a converter box. I'm not joking when I say it couldn't go higher than 1024x768 on my otherwise fully HD capable monitor. I giggled a bit when I tested a proper cable.

@kdfrawg Probably a cost thing, but I'm just puzzled as VGA won't ever go beyond 1920x1080/1920x1200, as far as I'm aware.

WXGA on anything but a 11" display shouldn't be allowed in 2017.

So for people with trust issues and the paranoid parents out there.

I'm all in favor of legacy and compatibility, but sometimes the horse is so dead it's not even a horse anymore. It's like people are obsessed with connecting their PC from 1987 to the latest monitor they can find.
