I got the Toshiba alternative instead, but the original software was dreadfully awful. Good thing clever people created RockBox, which doesn't suck.

@matigo I know exactly what you mean. Because of these shortcomings, I use my old iPhone 3GS as a music station in the car.

@gtwilson Having made the move from iOS 6 to iOS 10 some 9 months ago, I have found the music app to be far more messy in the newer version of iOS. Apple would do well to improve that for iOS 11.

@kdfrawg Just imagine me in comfy clothes in front of a 22" display, playing video games from at least 13 years ago, occasionally tossing some Pringles into my mouth. ?

@JeremyCherfas Very possible. Given that at least video quality has improved greatly over the years, I only wish audio would improve as well.
