@kdfrawg Will definitely need new drivers though. Finally have a real GPU to use.

@kdfrawg Exactly! I just hope my Windows installation won’t spaz out completely when it figures out it’s in a completely different machine.

@kdfrawg Something along those lines at least. Too bad they could just have restored the system properly instead. Oh well.

@kdfrawg Quite so. It’s why I stayed away from any earlier MacBook Pro, since they were capped at 4GiB of RAM.

@kdfrawg Not right now, but in the future I hope to upgrade to an SSD. For now, my old WD 1TiB drive will have to suffice.

@kdfrawg And they certainly didn’t do that. Every folder is empty or only contains empty folders.

No sweat though, as I’ll just move my working installation over.

@kdfrawg Yep, entirely possible. I’ll buy some more DDR2 sticks and see if I can get the old thing up to 6GiB of RAM.

@kdfrawg Could be. Odd thing is; it works fine in my late 2006 MacBook.

MacBook Pro mid/late 2007 with the hi-rez display. The screen was what made me want it.

Guess I’ll swap out the hard drive later tonight, after the kids go to bed.
