Damn I love being in the union right now. They really came through for me in all this. Guess the really good thing is I don't have to start commuting to a call center and sell crap I don't care about to people.
Well that's that then. I just agreed to two months full pay and then I'm gone from my current employer. Two months paid doing nothing, which is nice. Although I, of course, do not plan on doing said nothing, but rather going to do a whole lot of something. Like finding another (better) job and get around to updating my book, and finishing another book.
Actually, any kind of blue instrumentation lighting drives me nuts. Can't stand the stuff.
Anyone who can stand a blue 7-segment display is a better person than me, because that stuff drives me absolutely nuts. Red or green, no problem, but not blue!
@phoneboy I don't mind getting rid of distractions, but to me it seems like getting some self control would be the better path, rather than essentially crippling the device. But each to their own, and just because it is not for me, I shall not poo-poo his efforts. If it works for him, all the more power to him! :D
